How to install VestaCP on CentOS 6.5 VPS
This guide shows you how to install VestaCP on CentOS 6.5 VPS. The things you’re going to need are as follows:
- A VPS or Dedicated Server running on CentOS 6.5
- SSH Client e.g Putty for Windows
- Root access to your Server
- 10-15 minutes of your time
Guide
Step 1 : First of all you have to login to your server using username ‘root’
Step 2 : Now you have to download the Installer aka installation script for VestaCP. simply copy and execute the following command in SSH client.
curl -O http://vestacp.com/pub/vst-install.sh
Step 3 : Now you just have to execute the following command and the installation will start automatically.
bash vst-install.sh
Step 4 : The installer may ask you to disable SELinux, If you have it enabled, Just disable it by pressing Y
Step 5 : The installer will ask you for your email address, enter your email address and hit enter and the installation process will start.
Once the installer finishes installing, it will show you the url, Username and Password. just open that url in web browser and login using the username and password.
